The XII Ferrer-Salat\/Liceu Conservatory Scholarship Concert was held on May 5th with attendees enjoying the talent and interpretive excellence of scholarship students from the previous call. Like every year, during this same event and after three intense days of auditions, the names of the winners of the new scholarship call for the 2022-2023 academic year were announced for the first time.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In their opening speech, Sergi Ferrer-Salat, President of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0President of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation<\/strong>, and\u00a0Maria Serrat, Executive Director of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation<\/strong>, praised the trajectory and success of these scholarship calls up to this year\u2019s twelfth edition.<\/p>

With a packed auditorium, Maria Serrat welcomed the audience and announced an increase in the number of scholarships awarded this year due to the high level of the candidates throughout the auditions, with a\u00a055% of male participants and a 45% of female<\/strong>\u00a0and a predominance of Jazz and Modern Music, Wind, String and Piano categories.\u00a079 scholarships have been awarded in this new call<\/strong>, 16 of them quadrennial and 15 one-year excellence scholarships.<\/p>

Sergi Ferrer-Salat underlined the importance of generating equal opportunities through access to music education and the critical role that music plays as an ally and key element in the fight for a fairer society. He also emphasized the role that young musicians who enjoy such an opportunity should play as active speakers, spreading the great transformative and cohesive power of their art.<\/p>

The concert featured performances by Pedro Rinc\u00f3n (flamenco guitar); Sara Serrano (piano); A\u00edda Saco (piano); the trio made up of mezzo-soprano Cristina Tena, soprano Alba Valdivieso and Carlos Bujosa (piano); the trio made up of Blanca Albert (violin), Miquel Keenan Fuentes (cello) and Miquel Gusi (piano); the duet made up of Ricard Pri\u00f3 (flute) and Claudia Moreno (harp); the string quartet made up of Dai Mar L\u00f3pez and Lluc Montmany (violin), Ainara Quijada (viola) and Jorge Sierra (cello); and to finish off the jazz quintet made up of Sara Lilu Mart\u00edn de Armas (vocals), V\u00edctor Carrascosa (trumpet), Camil Arcarazo (double bass), Alesander Pe\u00f1a (electric guitar) and Estefania Chamorro (drums).<\/p>

At the end of the concert, Victor Estap\u00e9, Academic Director of the Centre Superior, announced the winners of the quadrennial Ferrer-Salat\/ Liceu Conservatory Scholarships on behalf of the jury, which for this next 13th edition have been awarded to: Elsa Armengou (jazz trumpet), Jorge Bosch (percussion), Julia Maria Figueres (piano), Mart\u00edn Gros (bass guitar), Llu\u00eds Gual (composition), David Guerreiro (jazz double bass), J\u00falia L\u00f3pez (oboe), Claudia L\u00f3pez (violin), Pablo L\u00f3pez (clarinet), Pablo Mel\u00e9ndez (piano), Nil Moreno (double bass), Larraitz Navas (singing), David Rebull (cello), Pol Requena (piano), Crist\u00f2fol Romaguera (singing) and Martha Vives (jazz trumpet).<\/p>

The finalists were: Montserrat Boixadera (singing), Elisabet Campos (singing), Sergio Del Boccio (jazz vocals), Andrea Garcia (violin), Laura Jalloul (classical guitar), Oriol Mart\u00ednez (saxophone), Ferran Mir (piano), Enric Moya (violin), Pau Oliver (piano), Daniela Redondo (bassoon), Christian Salam\u00f3 (composition), Pau Serra (drums), Marta Torres (trumpet) and Aitana Torrijo (singing).<\/p>

And the following were\u00a0the winners of the one-year excellence scholarships<\/strong>: Arnau Balcells (piano), Sergi Benaiges (piano), Pol Cabrera (saxophone), Adela Cao (oboe), Olivia Cortese (violin), Estefania Chamorro (drums), Manuel del Horno (viola), Clara Enrich (singing), Miquel Keenan Fuentes (cello), Oriana Larisa Kemelmajer (piano), Pere Malagelada (electric guitar), Alesander Pe\u00f1a (electric guitar), Queralt Planas (clarinet), Maria Sol\u00e9 (piano) and Carlos Villa (cello).<\/p>

Once again, the partnership between the Foundation and the Liceu Conservatory becomes stronger thanks to this project, which was launched in 2010 to enable the access of young talents to higher music studies, under the belief that music is a key element in people\u2019s education and, therefore, a cornerstone of social progress.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
